Guided Tour
Schirin Kretschmann. Ten By One
Duration: 1 hour
Price: free
The PEAC Museum is delighted to present its first solo exhibition by Schirin Kretschmann (born in Karlsruhe in 1980, lives in Berlin and Munich). The exhibition is one of the artist's most comprehensive to date and features works created exclusively for this occasion. The works were created in response to the exhibition venue, its architecture, and its use. What defines a space? Which structures—visible or invisible—determine it? Kretschmann uses architectural conditions, materials, movement patterns, and acoustic traces and reinterprets them. In subtle interventions, performances, and sound and video works, she shifts familiar perspectives and at the same time questions the conditions under which art is created and perceived. The works constantly reconfigure themselves, remain open to spontaneous interactions, and create an exciting sphere that invites a multi-layered experience. The one-hour guided tour provides an informative insight into the exhibition and the artist's work.
