TEXTILE. SCHULKUNST Exhibition

As part of the SCHULKUNST programme of the State of Baden-Württemberg, the PEAC Museum presents, under the title TEXTILE, a wide range of artistic works by students in dialogue with works from the Paul Ege Art Collection. Invited to engage with textile materials, the students demonstrate the broad spectrum of artistic possibilities offered by textiles. Through sculptures, objects, and installations, they explore the haptic qualities of thread, mesh, and fabric. They draw on traditional techniques such as embroidery, weaving, and sewing, while further developing and reinterpreting them. Interdisciplinary references to fashion and design broaden the perspective on textile materials.

The SCHULKUNST programme of the State of Baden-Württemberg has been supporting artistic and aesthetic education in schools since 1985. For the third time, the PEAC Museum is presenting, as a cooperation partner, the work of students from Freiburg as well as from the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen.
