As part of the SCHULKUNST program of the state of Baden-Württemberg, the PEAC Museum is showing numerous artistic works by students in dialogue with works from the Paul Ege Art Collection under the title TEXTIL. Invited to explore textile materials, they demonstrate the wide range of artistic possibilities with textiles. In sculptures, objects, and installations, the students explore the haptic qualities of thread, weaving, and fabric. They take up traditional techniques such as embroidery, weaving, and sewing and develop them further. Interdisciplinary references from fashion and design broaden the view of textile materials. The SCHULKUNST program of the state of Baden-Württemberg has been promoting artistic and aesthetic education in schools since 1985. For the third time, the PEAC Museum is acting as a cooperation partner to showcase the results of students from Freiburg and the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen.
