Michał Budny. Randzone

27 September 2026 – 15 February 2027
Opening: Sunday, 27 September, 11 a.m.

For the first time the PEAC Museum presents a solo exhibition by the Polish artist Michał Budny (b. 1976 in Leszno, Poland). Budny’s creative process starts with a careful observation of emotions, places, and relationships. His often large-scale objects lend these fleeting moments a tangible presence. Budny works with a limited palette of colors and materials—black and white, as well as steel, cardboard, and rubber. The strictly geometric, austere formal language of his works, reminiscent of Minimal Art and Constructivism, is counterbalanced by a narrative and sensual dimension. In subtle ways, the works evoke memories and open up a deeply personal space of experience for the viewer. The exhibition Randzone navigates the boundary between the visible and the invisible, connection and separation, inside and outside.

For the PEAC Museum, the artist develops a comprehensive exhibition featuring works from the past twenty years.

Michał Budny was born in 1976 in Leszno, Poland, and lives and works between Warsaw and Prague. In 2007 he participated in the 10th Small Sculpture Triennale in Fellbach, and in 2008 in Manifesta 7 in Trentino. Solo exhibitions followed in 2010 at the South London Gallery, in 2011 at the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf, and at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, in 2012 at the National Gallery of Art, Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2015 at the Saarland Museum, Saarbrücken, and in 2020/21 at the Kunstmuseum Luzern.

The artist is already represented with several works in the Paul Ege Art Collection.
