The PEAC Museum is an exhibition venue for modern and contemporary art and houses the Paul Ege Art Collection (PEAC), which has been in existence since the 1970s. Today it represents one of the most extensive collections of colour painting in Europe, supplemented by works of minimal art and conceptual art. The museum's exhibition and education programme is derived from the themes and issues in the collection. This results in changing exhibitions two to three times a year, which are based on the collection's holdings or show artists who deal with related themes in their work.

To support our team, we are seeking, starting in September 2026, a

Supervisor and Host (m/f/d)

Are you interested in working at a vibrant and diverse venue for contemporary and modern art? We are looking for someone to support us on weekends and during events as a host and supervisor. We would appreciate your help on two to three Saturdays and/or Sundays per month, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as well as on weekday evenings for special events.  We offer a pleasant work environment within a friendly and open-minded team. The position is offered as part-time employment.

Your responsibilities:
•    Independently supervising the exhibition spaces and the artworks on display
•    Opening and closing the museum
•    Operating exhibition equipment (such as audiovisual devices)
•    Assisting visitors: providing friendly service at all times throughout their visit; serving as the point of contact for visitors’ questions
•    Processing visitor lists and statistics
•    Selling and processing payments for museum merchandise
•    Ensuring safety protocols are followed and museum rules are observed
•    Providing reception services during various museum events (exhibition openings, concerts, etc.)

Your Profile:
•    Reliability, a strong sense of responsibility, and flexibility with regard to working hours
•    Excellent written and spoken German; knowledge of other languages (e.g., English) is a plus
•    A friendly, open, and communicative demeanor
•    An affinity for contemporary and modern art
